Job descriptionEvaluates and treats patients with acute, chronic complaints and health maintenance concerns related to specialty Obtains complete histories and performs pertinent physical exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings on new and return patients Orders and collects specimens for routine laboratory tests, screening procedures and therapeutic procedures, including blood and blood products. Orders physical therapy, occupational therapy resp iratory therapy, radiology examinations and nursing services Prescribe and monitor injectable osteoporosis treatments and infusion Active involvement in development standards of practice that are evidenced based for metabolic bone disease care Provide comprehensive care for patients with metabolic bone disease Facilitates collaboration between care with primary care, oncology, rheumatology, orthopedic spine, pediatric specialty providers and coordination of community resources Participates in Quality improvement initiatives Provides and coordinates patient teaching and counseling. Orders physical therapy, occupational therapy respiratory therapy, radiology examinations and nursing services Provide comprehensive care for patients with osteoporosis and fragility fractures Prescribe and monitor injectable osteoporosis treatments and infusions Demonstrate expertise in spine, and orthopedic care, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient outcomes. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care. Exhibit strong communication skills and a commitment to patient education and advocacy. Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Experience in orthopedic surgery, endocrinology, or spine care is preferred.
