Staff Systems Integration Engineer
A transformational growth opportunity exists for ADI to bring disruptive innovation to the world of Robotics and Real-Time Aware Automation by solving our customers' biggest system challenges. We are looking for an energetic, robotics system integration engineer who can couple the advanced sensing, communication and motion innovation at ADI to the challenges being presented by the market to develop subsystems for advanced navigation, tactile sensing and dexterity.
The candidate :
- Will be working on designing and evaluating applications specific to robotic solutions for various sectors of the industrial market.
- Is capable of directing design, integration and evaluation of subsystems into larger customer robotic systems, including hardware, software, and algorithms. The candidate is a technical lead to teams, mentor's engineers, and guides project development from requirements to production.
- Must have experience operating on , and leading technically , a hardware team within a larger system-level development with an understanding of proper methodologies for PCB design and layout . Previous experience complying with current industrial regulations is a plus .
- Must have prior experience in debugging all aspects of mixed-signal hardware / firmware with attention paid to how the design fits into the larger system.
- Must have prior experience working on connected solutions (BLE , WiFi , Mobile ) with strong capability to interface with software and firmware engineers to implement a secure data pipeline .
- An ideal candidate has prior experience in designing and testing robotic systems specifically in the areas of localization or dexterity. Additionally, experience with the algorithms and analytics specific to these areas is a plus.
Key Responsibilities Include :
Translating requirements into clear technical specificationsOwn system / hardware design and implementation of connectivity sub-component s.Own ( i.e. develop and execute) the design of Hardware and Firmware to support measuring the environment .Interface with design, test, application, software and marketing teams as the product(s) move from design to completion and distribution.Interface with mechanical / packaging group to determine optimal form-factor .Perform lab analysis and evaluation of new products, working with a multi-functional team to identify , simulate, and correct functional and parametric problems.Create Verification / Validation plans by developing a thorough understanding of the system-under-test ensuring robustness .Support issues that arise during customer engagements and trials.Qualifications
Must possess a Masters or equivalent in Electrical Engineering , Robotics or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years’ experienceFor positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and / or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $144,038 to $216,056.
Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location , experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time , and other benefits.
