Client Consultation : Meet with clients to gather their financial information, income statements, documentation of expenditures, and other relevant data required for tax preparation.
Tax Return Preparation & Filing : Input financial data into tax preparation software, complete all required federal, state, and local tax forms, and submit them to the appropriate tax agencies (e.g., IRS) before deadlines.
Maximizing Benefits : Analyze financial situations to identify potential deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities to ensure clients receive the maximum benefit permitted by law.
Accuracy and Compliance : Review all tax forms for accuracy and completeness, double-checking all calculations to minimize errors and compliance issues.
Tax Planning & Advice : Provide clients with information and advice on record-keeping requirements and future tax planning strategies to reduce liabilities.
Issue Resolution & Support : Handle communications from clients and tax authorities, and potentially act as a representative for clients in the event of an audit or inquiry.
Continuing Education : Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations at all government levels to provide accurate and up-to-date service.
Record Keeping : Maintain organized, confidential records of all client documents, filed returns, and correspondence.

Knowledge : Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations.
Technical Skills : Proficiency with tax preparation software and general accounting software (e.g., MS Excel).
