Job Summary

The School of Education in the College of Arts and Sciences is seeking applicants for the part-time faculty position of Teacher Education to teach undergraduate and graduate education courses starting in the Spring of 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to teach sections of Introductory Education courses as well as supervise student teacher performance in school settings.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to teach sections of Introductory Education courses and supervise student teacher performance in school settings.

  • Teach introductory and graduate level Education courses / two courses per semester
  • Collaborate with School of Education faculty to ensure the success of the School of Education's teacher candidates
  • Supervise teacher candidates in school settings : both in-person and virtually using GoReact or a similar platform

Required Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate in Education (doctoral candidates considered with requisite EDUC course experience)
  • Extensive experience in teaching and research related to P-12 education
  • Three years of full-time teaching experience in P-12 classrooms
  • Previous supervision and evaluation of instruction
  • A commitment to culturally responsive pedagogy
