Quality Inspector

A growing precision manufacturing company in Roselle, IL, is seeking a Quality Clerk with hands-on experience in quality control inspections of machined parts. This position was created to backfill a recent vacancy and offers an excellent opportunity to join a tight-knit, high-performing team.

The ideal candidate will have a background in a custom-machined parts job shop and be skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers. This role requires a strong understanding of quality assurance processes and the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints to ensure parts meet exact specifications and tolerances.

Responsibilities :

Perform in-process and final inspections on machined parts.

Verify dimensions and tolerances against engineering blueprints.

Document inspection results and identify non-conforming parts.

Collaborate with machinists and engineers to resolve quality concerns.

Maintain inspection records and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications :

3–5 years of quality control or inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints.

Experience in a custom machined parts job shop environment.

High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training a plus.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Location : Roselle, IL

Schedule : 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM (overtime up to 20 hours / week; ideal shift 5 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM)

Type : Contract-to-hire (approximately 6 months)
