Overview
The Senior Director Marketing Strategy role is responsible for driving the strategic marketing direction of the General Bank marketing team supporting Consumer, Wealth and Business Segments. Will lead a team of marketing strategists who will use customer and market insights to develop content and marketing strategies that result in growth opportunities aligned to business goals. Ensures marketing strategies are aligned to short and long-term business priorities aimed to improve the financial lives of clients.
Success in this role relies on strong cross-functional collaboration and partnership across executive leadership teams, Chief Marketing Officer organization, internal and external partners to direct and execute on campaign, content, channel, and market strategies.
Responsibilities
Marketing strategy : Direct team in defining and executing strategic, comprehensive content, product, and channel-delivery marketing strategies that are client-centric and align to business priorities. Oversee teams developing campaign and content strategy including topics aligned to deep audience insights and business needs and distribution plans across sales and marketing channels. Develops sales programs that translate corporate priorities and strategies into executable tactics and supports regional sales optimization.
Collaboration : Partner across executive leadership teams, Chief Marketing Officer organization and other stakeholder groups to develop plans that differentiate brand-aligned messages / content, through the right channels (incl. sales & product enablement) at the right time, communicating the unique benefits of our services and solutions.
Managerial Functions : Leads a team. Inspires team to maximize their potential as strategic marketing partners to achieve company and department goals. Develops, grows, retains, and attracts growth-minded talent.
Risk Management : Manage / mitigate operational, strategic, and reputational risk across all elements of General Bank Marketing work.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of marketing experience in financial services, including leadership or a High School Diploma / GED and 16 years of marketing experience in financial services, including leadership.
