Job Title: Grant Accountant
Location: SE Portland, OR
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp (6+ months), Hybrid after training (3 days onsite)
Compensation: $32-$40 an hour DOE

We are seeking a dedicated Grants Accountant to join our client's team in SE Portland, OR. As a Grant Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with grant funding regulations, and supporting financial analysis related to grant activities. Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records for grant-funded projects
• Ensure compliance with grant funding regulations and reporting requirements
• Process grant-related transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense allocations
• Assist with month-end closing processes specific to grant accounting
• Prepare financial reports and statements for grant-funded projects
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for optimization
• Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to monitor grant budgets and expenditures

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (preferred not required)
• 1-2+ years of experience in non-profit accounting (required)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of grant funding regulations and compliance requirements preferred
