Job Details

Facility in Illinois is looking for travel ER nurses! Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience. This contract is for 12 hour shifts for 13 weeks.

Job Requirements

IL license required to submit

3+ years of ER experience

Moderate sedation experience

Schedule Information

12 hours shifts

Nursing- 7-7, 10-10, 11-11p, 12-midnoc, 7p-7a

Flexibility to work all shifts is key

Weekend Requirements : Every other or to meet the needs of the unit

Holiday Requirements : Rotate with core staff to meet the needs of the unit

Department specific orientation : 2 12 hour shifts of orientation

Unit Specific Information

On average, how many patients do you treat in the ER / day : 60-80 per 24 hours.

Nurse : Patient Ratios : 1 : 4-5 They will adjust ratios to staffing situation and acuity.

Additional Details

Common diagnoses : Respiratory viruses, anything from a stubbed toe- MI- MVA, homeless. Neonates to geriatrics.

Charge Nurse / House Supervisor : House supervisor 24 / 7. Charge nurse on day shift- sometimes takes patients, jumps in to help where needed, triage, lunches etc.

Is Security in-house 24 / 7 : In house 24 / 7. Close to ER and available upon request.
