Life Safety Systems Engineer – Multiple U.S. Locations
We are seeking a Life Safety Systems Engineer who is passionate about designing solutions that protect people, assets, and facilities. This role will give you the opportunity to work on impactful projects across industries such as semiconductor and data centers. You’ll collaborate with talented teams to provide code-compliant fire and life safety solutions while contributing to high-profile projects nationwide.

(Other U.S. locations may be considered for highly qualified candidates.)
What You’ll Do
Develop and design fire life safety systems, including fire sprinklers, fire alarm, VESDA, toxic gas detection, leak detection, security, and CCTV systems.
Interpret and apply IFC, IBC, NFPA 101, NFPA 72, NFPA 70 (NEC), and NFPA 400 codes to ensure compliance.
Create detailed design deliverables using AutoCAD and Revit MEP including 2D drawings and 3D BIM models.
Provide calculations, equipment specifications, and construction documentation.
Interface directly with clients, code officials, and internal design teams.
Contribute to estimating, scheduling, and managing mid-to-large-scale projects.
Mentor junior engineers while collaborating with senior design professionals.
What We’re Looking For
Required :
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (ability to obtain PE license required).
4+ years of AutoCAD design experience.
Strong knowledge of fire and life safety codes (IFC, IBC, NFPA 101, NFPA 72, NFPA 70, NFPA 400).
Hands-on experience with fire alarm systems, VESDA, security, CCTV, HPM, and leak detection.
Experience with design and construction specifications, cost estimating, and project scheduling.
Preferred :
Professional Engineering (PE) license.
Experience leading projects and managing resources.
Background in semiconductor or data center design.
Familiarity with 3D BIM software (Revit).
Proven ability to mentor junior staff and manage design processes.
