Position Type : Full-Time (Various shifts available)

Compensation : Above Minimum Wage (Starting pay rates)

New Hire Bonus : $500

Bilingual (Spanish) Bonus : $750

Hope For Youth is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Residential Counselors (Direct Care Staff) . This role is essential in supporting youth in a structured, supportive, and therapeutic environment. We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities, with flexible shifts . Be sure to include your availability when applying!

Key Responsibilities :

Provide day-to-day support to youth, including :

Documentation

Laundry and cleaning

Transportation to appointments

Supervising recreational and daily living activities

Supervise and support youth using the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) model- without therapeutic holds

Resolve resident issues or concerns effectively and compassionately

Attend all required staff meetings , supervision sessions , and training programs

Perform any additional responsibilities as required by Hope For Youth , oversight agencies, and applicable regulations

Minimum Qualifications :

High School Diploma or GED

Valid NYS Driver's License in good standing

Must be 21 years of age or older to transport youth

Ability to meet physical requirements , including :

Operating a motor vehicle

Lifting / moving up to 50 pounds

Escorting youth in the community

Physically intervening in crisis situations if needed

Flexibility to work various shifts and locations

Relevant experience in childcare, residential, or human services settings is preferred
