Job descriptionPosition is in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting Night shift (4x12 hours), 19 : 00 to 07 : 00 Nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1 : 1 to 1 : 2 Every other weekend coverage required May be floated to Postpartum / Couplet care and 'feeder / grower' assignments in a Level II NICU LDRP, Antepartum, Intrapartum, and Postpartum / Couplet Care experience required Circulating for C-sections required Experience with Cerner charting system required Responsibilities include care for laboring, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, including circulating for C-sections Proficiency with triage, sterile vaginal exams, and Baby Friendly hospital practices highly preferred First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment Facility is Magnet certified Scrubs are provided by the facility Must be willing to float based on unit needs Candidates must not have been employed by the facility in the last year to qualify for traveler status Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted Holiday coverage may be required according to hospital policy Active MD or compact RN license required Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required; may consider candidates with 2 years Charge and preceptor experience required Certifications required : BLS, NRP, Intermediate AWHONN Must hold or register for C-EFM through NCC during compliance or within first two weeks ACLS, STABLE, and C-EFM through NCC preferred Two supervisor references required Flu vaccine required for all staff High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
