Staff Electrical Engineer – Facilities & Pipelines EI&C
Employment Type : Full-Time Employee (FTE) with Full Benefits

Travel Requirements : Up to 25%
Overview :
We are seeking a mid-level Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (EI&C) Engineer with 4+ years of experience to support projects in the Oil & Gas and Utility sectors. This hands-on design role offers opportunities for technical growth and advancement into leadership or project management.
Key Responsibilities :
Electrical Engineering
- Develop electrical drawing packages : one-line diagrams, grounding plans, lighting layouts, conduit / cable routing, interconnection diagrams, panel layouts.
- Perform calculations : load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, cable / conduit sizing.
- Specify equipment : switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, UPS, distribution panels.
- Create BOMs, datasheets, and procurement support documents.
- Use analysis tools like ETAP or SKM for system studies.
Instrumentation & Controls (I&C)
Prepare I&C drawing packages : instrument location plans, loop diagrams, control panel layouts, P&IDs.Develop datasheets, control philosophies, cause & effect matrices, network architecture diagrams.Specify PLCs, RTUs, instrumentation, and control system components.Coordinate with vendors for panel submittals and integration.General Responsibilities
Support proposals with scope, budget, and schedule input.Conduct site walkdowns and data collection.Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to produce coordinated drawings.Interface with clients and vendors to align scope and technical requirements.Provide construction support : RFIs, redlines, field verifications.Uphold quality standards and contribute to process improvements.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.Minimum 3 years of electrical engineering experience (consulting preferred).Master’s degree may substitute for 1 year of experience.Strong knowledge of engineering techniques and procedures.Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and 2D / 3D rendering tools.Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and electrical analysis software.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.EIT certification preferred.
