Medical / Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool – Travel Nursing Job in Charleston, SC

This travel nursing job offers the opportunity to work across multiple med / surg units, providing clinical support in one of the top healthcare facilities in South Carolina.

Charleston Nursing Job Details

Location : Charleston, SC 29425 (South Carolina nursing jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel RN, On-Site

Start Date : December 15, 2025

End Date : March 16, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 3x12-hour day shifts (07 : 00 – 19 : 30), 36 hours / week

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Holiday Rotation : Required

Float Requirement : Float to various medical / surgical units at Main Hospital and Ashley River Tower

Patient Ratio : 1 : 6

Charting System : EPIC

Scrub Color : Royal blue or white top with royal blue bottoms

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1420 - $1530

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Medical / Surgical RN experience (med / surg nurse jobs)

Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State / Compact State RN License (license in hand preferred; pending considered with proof of application)

BLS certification required

Proficient in isolation precautions, oxygen administration, IV starts and maintenance, peripheral line care, and rapid response / code teams

Ability to float between units as assigned

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care across multiple medical / surgical units

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with hospital policies

Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform routine nursing procedures

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including rapid response teams, to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Document patient care using EPIC electronic health record system

Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled

Adapt quickly to new units and patient populations as part of the float pool
