Basic Job Functions

Vulcraft Utah, a division of Nucor is seeking to fill the position of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Supervisor. The role of the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Supervisor includes, but is not limited to, working closely with Vulcraft Utah teammates, contractors, and leadership to drive continuous improvement in safety culture, performance, safety systems, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

The EHS Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating the Environmental, Health and Safety programs for the division. This includes taking a lead role in plant-wide culture building, environmental and safety management, training, and audits. This position is responsible for interacting with all teammates to ensure understanding of and compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations. The EHS Supervisor is also responsible for developing and providing applicable training, ensuring compliance with key regulatory requirements, participating in corporate environmental, health and safety initiatives, and is also responsible for water treatment operations.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the safety, health and environmental team along with our janitorial teammates which includes the setting of expectations as well as the training and development of those roles. The EHS Supervisor is also responsible for overseeing and coordinating the on-site security and contractor management program.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years of prior experience in a leadership position
• Previous experience in a Safety and / or Environmental position
