We are looking for an experienced Controller Consultant to join our team in Warsaw, Indiana, on a long-term contract basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations while maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of corporate accounting processes and a collaborative approach to managing complex financial tasks. Initially, this maternity leave coverage will be part-time as the remainder of this year unfolds.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead month-end closing procedures, including reviewing reconciliations prepared by the Assistant Controller.
  • Utilize BlackLine software to maintain accuracy and streamline reconciliation processes.
  • Oversee accounting processes for prepaids, lease accounting, intercompany clearing, and profit eliminations.
  • Analyze and reconcile foreign exchange rates across various entities to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Evaluate reconciliation processes to ensure a thorough understanding of their purpose and outcomes.
  • Verify weekly accounts payable transactions to guarantee proper invoice processing and accounting.
  • Prepare and maintain the equity ledger, including stock compensation grants, with precise entries in Excel trackers.
  • Conduct debt reconciliations and ensure alignment with accounting records.
  • Manage intercompany profit eliminations to maintain consistency between entities.
  • Collaborate with leadership for task reviews and approvals while addressing audit inquiries promptly.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate accounting or financial management.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including experience with equity ledgers and stock compensation.
  • Familiarity with BlackLine reconciliation tools is an advantage.
  • Expertise in intercompany accounting, including profit elimination and foreign exchange reconciliation.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to critically evaluate reconciliation processes.
  • Experience with debt reconciliation and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with external auditors and address audit-related inquiries.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet strict deadlines.
