Responsibilities Work in an acute care birthing center with 13 L&D beds, 8 triage beds, and 17 postpartum beds Care for high-risk labor and antepartum patients, averaging 7.2 births per day Night shifts, 12 hours, 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM, 36 hours per week plus 24 hours of call time within a 4-week period Weekend requirement is three weekend shifts and two Friday shifts per contract Floating to other units may be required Uses Epic EMR and GE Corometrics fetal monitoring system Nurse aides / OB techs, charge nurse, house supervisor, RT, OB / neonatologist, IV team, and pharmacy all available 24 / 7 Hospital issued ceil blue scrubs required Care for high-risk labor and antepartum patients with a 1 : 1 ratio in active labor, 1 : 3 in triage, and 1 : 6 postpartum / mom-baby Charge nurse and house supervisor scheduled every shift for support Floor-specific orientation provided Rotating holiday coverage required according to unit policy No local travelers accepted A valid, unexpired driver’s license must be provided for consideration Requirements Active WV or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years Labor & Delivery experience BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN) certifications required Experience with Epic EMR and IV placement required Must live more than 50 miles from the facility No C-section experience required Previous permanent employees or travelers must have a 2-year break before reapplying Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-634121.
