We are seeking an experienced Tableau Administrator / Developer with over 5 years of hands-on experience in Tableau Administration, Tableau Desktop, and SQL. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data governance, and security best practices. This role involves managing Tableau environments, supporting a large user base, and ensuring optimal performance and availability of Tableau services.

Your role

Administer Tableau Server and Tableau Online environments.

Create and manage user groups, organize workbooks, dashboards, and data sources within sites and projects.

Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and performance tuning of Tableau environments.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tableau dashboards, data sources, and server performance.

Collaborate with BI developers and data engineers to ensure seamless data integration and visualization.

Monitor usage and performance metrics to optimize Tableau resources.

Implement and enforce data governance, security, and privacy best practices.

Support and manage Tableau in Application Maintenance (AM) and Support projects with a large user base.

Document processes, configurations, and best practices.

Your skills and experience

5 years of proven experience with Tableau Administration and Desktop.

Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing concepts.

Experience managing Tableau environments with a large number of users.

Solid understanding of data governance, security, and privacy standards.

Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable data solutions.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Tableau certification (e.g., Tableau Desktop Certified Professional, Tableau Server Certified Associate).

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Tableau Cloud.

Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
