ICU RN Job Details

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Location : Thornton, CO 80229 – Colorado healthcare jobs

Unit : ICU (Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Neuro ICU, Trauma ICU)

Start Date : December 22, 2025

End Date : March 23, 2026

Duration : 13-week travel nursing contract

Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

ICU RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Colorado or compact state

BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (medical, surgical, neuro, or trauma ICU)

TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred

Strong clinical skills, flexibility, and a patient-centered approach

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality critical care to patients in a 28-bed Intensive Care Unit

Manage patient ratios typically 1 : 2, adjusting for acuity as needed

Provide nursing care for neuro-surgical, trauma, cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, and withdrawal cases

Operate advanced clinical equipment : Pyxis, Plum Pump IVs, GE bedside monitors, Nelcor, Artic Sun, Sub Zero

Document patient care using Meditech EMR

Collaborate with a skilled team of ICU nurses and 24 / 7 Intensivists

Foster a positive, supportive environment for staff and patients
