Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized Occupational Therapy services in a school setting to support students with varying needs. This leave contract position, based in Spring Hill, TN, offers an opportunity to deliver direct and consultative support to students and educators within multiple school environments.
Responsibilities :
- Evaluate students referred for Occupational Therapy or sensory assessments, including initial and re-evaluations.
- Deliver direct therapy services to approximately 11 students across four different schools.
- Consult with educators and support teams on strategies to support 15-20 additional students.
- Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary support team discussions.
- Document and report student evaluations and progress in compliance with school and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications :
Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in pediatric or school-based therapy.Skilled in administering and interpreting sensory and occupational therapy assessments.Strong communication abilities for collaboration with educators, families, and support staff.Ability to manage caseload efficiently across multiple school sites.Comfortable providing in-person services; willingness to consider an increased schedule if referrals rise.Schedule & Duration :
Approximately 21 hours per week over three days.Standard workday consists of 7 hours.Position begins the first week of February and continues until one to two weeks before the school year concludes.Preference for in-person support delivery.This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students educational experiences through expert therapy and consultation.
