Description :
This position is for a Speech Language Pathologist specializing in pediatrics.
The candidate will work in an outpatient therapy clinic.
The role requires comfort working with children diagnosed with neurodevelopmental challenges including autism, developmental delay, and expressive / receptive language delays.
The patient visits per day will average 8, with several therapy rooms available.
Documentation will be completed through the EPIC system.
The ideal candidate should have experience with various patient diagnoses including stuttering, articulation issues, ADHD, and behavioral challenges.
Knowledge and skills in alternative communication devices and communication boards are required.
Experience in assessments using tools such as CELF and PLS-4 is necessary.
Evaluation and ongoing treatment of patients will be expected; referrals for ongoing therapy will not be acceptable.
Additional skills in dysphagia management and patient / family education are preferred.
The candidate must be aware of the signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse for patient safety.
Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is essential for effective treatment planning.
A strong commitment to professional development and compliance with all regulatory requirements is expected.
All candidates must be prepared to provide supervisory references covering recent experience.
Candidates must acknowledge commute times and travel requirements as part of their acceptance of this position.
