Maintenance Worker II - Streets

Under general supervision, performs various semi-skilled maintenance and unskilled labor work related to City of Waxahachie streets, right-of-way, or other related areas. Performs a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. Performs other duties as assigned.
Employees within this class are distinguished from the Maintenance Worker by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, with no supervisory responsibility. Employees at this level receive only occasional instruction, assistance, or supervision as new or unusual situations arise, and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.

All Streets Department team members are considered essential employees for the community and play a critical role in maintaining and restoring roadways during emergency situations and inclement weather. Team members need to be aware that there is the possibility of call-outs when critical situations arise, and they will be required to be reachable and ready to report to work immediately to manage the response and minimize disruption to city and emergency response operations.

Physical Demands :
Maintain the physical capability to perform essential job tasks and responsibilities.
