Availability to work 2 out of 3 holiday weekends

Float between PICU, NICU, and CTICU as necessary

4 weekend shifts per month required

Description :

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit RN will care for patients predominantly aged birth to 21 years.

The role includes participation in the management of critically ill children with complex medical needs.

First-time travelers are accepted.

Experience with the EPIC documentation system is required.

Key skills include accessing / managing ports, administering blood products, and managing ventilated patients.

The RN will facilitate care such as central line management, hemodynamic monitoring, and IV administration.

The position requires a commitment to infection control, isolation precautions, and safe medication administration.

The RN will assist with various medical procedures, including lumbar punctures and sedation monitoring.

Patient ratios are typically 2 : 1 for day and night shifts.

Teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary support services are essential for providing optimal patient care.

Effective communication and adaptability in a dynamic environment are important for this role.
