Job description

In accordance with state / federal regulation, the Overnight Pharmacy Technician - LTC assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in practice of pharmacy. Assists pharmacist in performance of other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures. This position is a safety sensitive position.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of related experience preferred
  • Sterile Compounding or IV Experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High sense of urgency
  • High energy personality that thrives in fast paced environment
  • Passionate with great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting to deliver deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks
  • Familiar with both iOS and Android systems
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)

Education and / or Certifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • State Driver's License
  • Clean driving record and valid Driver's License
  • Registered with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy
  • Essential Duties And Responsibilities :

  • Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with local, state, federal, and Company regulations.
  • Prepacking of stock including preparation of equipment and pre-pack labels, packaging and labeling of product for bar-code scanning, and quality control procedures.
  • Stock control functions including stock level audits, expiry date checking, stock file maintenance, and maintenance of internal stock movement.
  • General cleaning of work area and general maintenance of equipment and materials.
  • Maintains knowledge of loss prevention techniques
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Physical Demands :

  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear
  • The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment
  • The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 80 pounds
  • Specific vision requirements for this job include : close, distance and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
