Arconic Co-Op Program : We're seeking motivated students to join our Co-Op Program. A co-op position allows students to work on dynamic projects with mentoring and professional development opportunities. Co-ops gain real-world experience through hands-on learning and may be evaluated for future entry-level openings; full-time employment after completion is not guaranteed. Arconic has over 20 locations across the US, offering opportunities nationwide.

Electrical Engineering Co-Op Details

  • Length : One year (January 5, 2025 – December 18, 2025)
  • Pay Type : Salary
  • Pay rate : $4k / month (~$23 / hour) + $1,000 / month housing stipend
  • Other benefits : 2 weeks of paid vacation, paid holidays
  • Shift : Normally M–F : 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM; some occasional off-shift work may be required

Responsibilities

An Electrical Engineering co-op associate will be assigned a manager and a mentor. The student will work in both office and manufacturing environments with varying temperatures, collaborate with other engineering staff on projects with real business impact, assist with maintenance, repairs, project planning, and other tasks as assigned. The student must remain in good standing with their university to maintain co-op status.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be a student at UT - Knoxville or Tennessee Tech eligible for co-op status
  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering
  • Must be finished with Freshman year at the start of the program
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Involvement in at least one extracurricular activity
  • Prior work experience
