This position is 1st shift, Monday - Friday.
The Tank Wagon Driver will make deliveries of petroleum products to customer sites efficiently following all company and mandated protocols.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Make delivery of bulk petroleum products to customer sites in compliance with state and federal regulations and all Company operational and safety policies and procedures
- Maintain truck and delivery logs in compliance with state and federal regulations; conduct required pre- and post-trip inspections
- Communicate customer needs and inquiries to appropriate departments for follow up
- Performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned or requested
Requirements :
CDL Class A or B w / clean driving record. Hazmat, tanker endorsements required; up-to-date medical cardMust meet all DOT requirements including road test, physical, and drug screen2 years commercial driving experience requiredPast fuel / oil delivery experience preferred but not requiredMust have up-to-date medical cardAbility to work independently and be familiar with the local areaPossess basic math skills, organizational skills and be a team playerPhysical Requirements :
Walk, bend, reach, push, pull, stoop, squat, and climb, as required, in order to perform required vehicle inspectionsFrequently climb in and out of a large truckExtended schedule may be required as dictated by management and business needsMay be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 poundsMay be required to be exposed to extreme weather conditions (snow, ice, heat, winds)Occasionally climb ladders to inspect inside the cargo tank following loading or unloadingSit for extended periods of time in a truck and be able to drive, for as many as 11 hours while transporting fuel and other industry productsAbility to meet the physical requirements of the job, including walking and prolonged sitting. ability to comply with the physical requirements as defined by the Department of TransportationWe are an equal opportunity employer and employment is contingent upon the completion of a successful background check.
