Harrington Group, Certified Public Accountants, LLP is a public accounting and consulting firm that focuses solely to nonprofit organizations. We are seeking a Tax Preparer to join our tax team and who enjoys working in a collaborative fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include :

• Primarily focusing on the Preparation of 990 federal and state tax / information returns and preparation of amended returns as needed.
• Reviews tax and financial information provided by clients and works with clients to gather necessary information / documents for tax return completion and compliance. Auditing for thoroughness and more.
• Possesses knowledge of tax regulations.
• Communicates status of work and issues with supervisors, or partners on a timely basis
• Assists with client tax questions, and works with clients to maintain a good, professional working relationship.
• Ensure the confidentiality of each client by following all company procedures regarding information handling
• Completes research and other special assignments / tasks as needed.
• Plug in applicable data into Tax software application.
• Participate in other duties as assigned.
