ICU Nursing Job Details

Location : Glens Falls, NY 12801 (New York ICU nursing jobs)

Facility : 16-bed Intensive Care Unit with overflow capacity

Assignment Type : Travel ICU RN

Start Date : December 1, 2025

End Date : February 28, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM)

Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed

Schedule : Every other weekend and holiday; no on-call required

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990-$2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of RN experience, including 2.5 years in Critical Care or ICU

Active New York RN license (NY nursing jobs)

BLS and ACLS certifications required

EPIC charting experience required; Cerner experience preferred

De-escalation training (Welle, CPI, or PMCS) required

Ability to float to Medical / Surgical and Telemetry units (max 4 patients)

Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Flu vaccination required (religious / medical documentation accepted)

Must not have worked as staff at this facility in the past year or full-time within the AMC network in the past six months

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients with critical conditions

Monitor and manage invasive pressure, cardiac, and oximetry equipment

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Float to Medical / Surgical and Telemetry units as needed

Participate in de-escalation and crisis intervention procedures

Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and Cerner systems

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams

Comply with all facility policies, including shift cancellation and vaccination requirements
