About the Position
Hamilton Capital is seeking a dynamic professional to join our Investment Management team. The Director of Investment Management is responsible for delivering strong investment results through research, analysis, and personal oversight of specific asset classes or risk factors within the firm's fully discretionary investment strategies, custom portfolios, and additional investment vehicles.
This role focuses on strategic asset allocation and portfolio construction rather than individual security selection. The Director will research, analyze, and enhance the team's understanding of assigned investment asset classes, risk factors, macroeconomic conditions, investment managers, and products within the scope of our overall investment strategy and process. Additionally, the Director will help lead model development, analysis, testing, and production of analytics that inform portfolio understanding, decision-making, and regulatory compliance.

Primary Position Responsibilities
Conduct and improve efforts to strengthen, deepen, and expand suite of research; bring new ways to look at assigned markets / risks on a frequent basis.Innovate through improvement in existing asset class coverage and the initiation of new coverage.Personally recommend, manage, and be accountable for investment positions and portfolios that deliver returns consistent with strategic goals as measured against established benchmarks.Develop, execute, and improve processes to efficiently create, capture, and evaluate proprietary and secondary research and analysis for assigned asset classes, regions, factors, sectors and / or risks.Efficiently generate and interpret proprietary portfolio and markets data and analysis for assigned asset classes, regions and / or risk, and accurately translate into portfolio positions and changes.Periodically inform firm members of research insights and strategies to help shape discussions with clients.Display increasing leadership throughout all activities of the team, including mentoring less experienced team members.Productively argue for / against portfolio decisions based on acquired expert knowledge and articulate succinctly and clearly, with overwhelming evidence.Analyze managers' / sub-advisors' attributes of performance, process, and other characteristics and continually improve the policies and processes in this key area.Support implementation of maintenance, special requests, and strategy-related trading.Other duties as assigned by more senior team members to ensure superior investment performance and company results.Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree required with an emphasis in business, economics, finance, or investments, unless relevant experience can be easily demonstrated.Master's degree / equivalent and / or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) progress or certification preferred but not required.5-10 years' experience in Investment Analysis or Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Capital Markets, or related field preferred.Experience or focus on top-down, global asset class research and / or allocation is preferred but not required.Skills and Traits
Effective user of MS Office products with ability to quickly learn other software.Excellent analytical, relational, and organizational skills.Strong quantitative, oral and written communication skills.Personally accountable and responsible.Familiarity with the Bloomberg platform preferred.Demonstrable programming ability in R, Python, or language of equivalent complexity welcomed.Patience, preference, and appreciation for a process-driven methodical approach over short-term, tactical, technical, or trading oriented investment programs required.For confidential consideration, submit your resume in PDF format only to
