Wastewater Maintenance Supervisor

King County protects water quality and public health in the central Puget Sound region by providing high quality and effective treatment to wastewater collected from our local sewer agencies. King County's wastewater operations staff provides the expertise and dedication required to operate and maintain wastewater treatment and collection facilities to ensure protection of the environment and the health of all King County communities.
About the Role : The responsibilities of this classification include supervising and directing the overall instrumentation and electrical maintenance teams and program(s) for the West Point wastewater treatment plant and West Section Offsite facilities. Maintenance programs include but are not limited to the repair, replacement, and preventative maintenance of industrial instrumentation equipment, electrical and instrumentation control systems. Incumbents supervise and direct the work of lead, skilled trades, semi-skilled trades, engineering, and technical support positions. Incumbents also assist the treatment plant manager in the development, implementation, and revision of short- and long-term goals and objectives for the plant's operation and maintenance.
The primary function of this role is to lead, direct, and supervise the team members (instrument technicians, HVAC technicians, and electricians both in-plant and offsite) assigned to West Operations & Maintenance Unit. As a Wastewater Maintenance Supervisor within the Operations and Maintenance team you are expected to be a "People Leader"; to lead and develop your team to align with the County and WTD leaderships goals, expectations, standards, and initiatives. You will be a mentor and guide to those working within your team and those that work with your team.
