Job Summary

As an Underwriting Examiner, you'll be responsible for maintaining and updating insurance policies by reviewing and completing Guidewire Activities and processing routine transactions within the system. Your role will involve evaluating each transaction for completeness, verifying correct rates, ensuring proper coverage, and confirming applicant eligibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Determine whether requested transactions meet established underwriting guidelines and rules.
• Assess if the information provided with a transaction is complete enough to process as submitted or if additional documentation is required. Consistently meet production goals while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Review and process work distributed via Guidewire Activities and the electronic General Delivery Mailbox in Outlook (e.g., mortgage changes). Document all completed reviews and decisions in the system.
• Seek guidance from the District Underwriter or Supervising Underwriter for complex issues.
• Understand that errors may be identified by the Agency Force, insured parties, or through routine audits.
• Participate in error evaluation and review processes, with error reports compiled by the Supervising Underwriter.
