What you will gain

Our Summer Internship Program, beginning in June 2026, provides immersive training and introduction to Santander. You will be combining this training with practical experience on both technical and interpersonal skills, helping your development during the internship.

The 2026 Santander Summer Internship Program is for undergraduate students and / or graduate level students who have an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May / June 2027.

Santander US is a nationwide business with locations across the country. This position is located in Dallas, TX .

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Salary : Undergraduate $52,000 / year

​ Graduate $ 67,600 / year

As an Ops Planning & Analysis intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience at the intersection of finance, operations, and technology, contributing to high-impact projects across multiple business lines. You'll be exposed to operations systems, regulatory frameworks, and the full lifecycle of project execution — from design to delivery. The role also offers visibility to senior leadership and the opportunity to translate technical insights into strategic business outcomes.

Responsibilities of the Ops Planning & Analysis internship role may include but are not limited to :

Assists Business Analysts in documenting current business procedures and processes

Assists in the creation of documentation and definitions for technical systems, processes, business rules and data

Researching new technologies and components

Ensure Application information is correct and updated as required

Creating PowerPoints regarding our business case

Special Project work related to strategic initiatives within the bank – could be related to Channel applications, Loan Systems, Mobile / Online Banking, CRM, Operations

Monthly Vendor Management meetings and SLA reporting

Leverage generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to improve internal processes, create GPTs for automation, and enhance business presentations

What we are looking for

An undergraduate student and / or graduate student with an expected graduation date between either December 2026 or May / June 2027 .

Area of Study : (inclusive of any preferred major study areas)

Cumulative GPA is 3.0 or above .

Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and courage.

Strong English communication skills both written and spoken required.

Analytical thinkers with a strong attention to detail.

Organized and able to manage time and multiple tasks efficiently.

Ability to work independently on special projects.

Ability to effectively contribute to a team environment.

It would be nice to have

Coursework in or exposure to accounting, finance, economics, or business. (Preferred)

Experience in Microsoft Office products. (Preferred)

Familiarity with tools such as SQL, Microsoft Suite, data mining platforms, Nero, and JIRA. (Preferred)
