As a Clinical Nurse, you will :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, initiate IVs, conduct treatments, perform procedures and special tests, while documenting all care in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and identify patients' conditions.
- Evaluate and assess patient needs and responses to the care provided.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment in managing patient care.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications as prescribed, including over-the-counter and prescription drugs.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel, ensuring the maintenance of professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications :
A graduate of an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.A current NYS Registered Nurse license.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care settings.Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving techniques, with the ability to apply these for continuous improvement in patient care.Thank you for considering a position with Albany Medical Center!
