Overview

Omega Technical Services is seeking an experienced Senior Drafter / Designer to provide support to our client on site power operations and engineering staff in the Las Vegas, NV area.

Responsibilities

This position is to provide support to the Site Power operations and engineering staff by preparing high voltage electrical and wiring drawings for site power, comprised of transmission, substation, and distribution elements up to 138 kV. Support to include routine layouts, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, diagrams, and all views and dimensions necessary for construction. Supports engineers and designers of all disciplines through a variety of tasks, including proposal drawings, red marks, and sketches. Additional support will include locating, updating, and developing new drawings or updating existing drawings to address a backlog in configuration management needs.

Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) with demonstrated experience with MicroStation computer-aided drafting applications to originate and produce drawings with minimum supervision.

• Read, interpret, and generate design drawings with minimal input from a member of the engineering staff. Must have the ability to walk down field systems with minimal guidance, interpret field direction, generate minor design details, create new drawings, modify existing drawings, and direct junior drafters.
