Manager Of Operations
General Dynamics Electric Boat, the nation's premier designer and builder of nuclear submarines, is seeking a Manager of Operations to take part in building the most complex product in the world.
The Manager of Operations must provide technical assistance and overall direction to Area Superintendents and Operations Supervisors. The successful candidate must possess proven ability to manage outfitting operations in the following trade disciplines :
- Pipefitter
- Structural
- Electrical
- Paint / Sound Damp
- Outside Machinist
- Sheetmetal
They must manage the performance of the departments' safety, quality, cost, schedule, continuous improvement and employee communications. Candidate must also possess a proven track record in these areas. Individual selected will be responsible for project management, controlling overhead and direct budgets / EAC and managing daily operations. Must have effective and innovative problem solving and change management skills. Applicant must understand and be able to react to schedule urgency of program demands to support deliverables. Work closely with Program Construction Manager and embedded design / build team leveraging on their program experience. Candidate must be able to promote a positive team environment and be highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications
Required :
High School Diploma or equivalent3+ years Supervisory / Management experience in Construction or ManufacturingProficiency with blueprints, MRP, EWP Artemis and EVMComputer skills including MS Office and ProjectAvailable to work all shifts including extended hours and weekends as business needs dictateAble to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the Department of DefensePreferred :
