Role Overview :
This position is responsible for performing general highway maintenance duties that keep INDOT assets in good working condition to ensure customer satisfaction. Highway Technicians perform snow and ice removal and related maintenance duties by operating snow plows and other winter operations duties as required. Traffic maintenance duties, such as repairing and installing traffic signs and pavement markings, are also required job duties for this position.
Location :
This position is located in INDOT's Veedersburg Unit.
CDL Positions :
Candidates with a current CDL will earn an additional $1 per hour for this position. Candidates without a CDL will be given 90 days to obtain their CDL, with training provided by INDOT, and will then earn an additional $1 per hour upon successfully obtaining their CDL.
Pay Rate :
This position traditionally starts at an hourly rate of $20.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience.
