Position Summary :
Serves as a member of the cardiovascular catheterization team independently functioning in the performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, hemodynamic monitoring, and insertion of implantable devices, EPS and structure heart procedures with minimal supervision.
Position Qualification :
Four years of nursing experience required, with two years of Critical Care, or one year of full-time Cath Lab experience.Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.Experienced and knowledgeable in the use of ventricular assist devices, IABP, Impella, and ECMO.Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and Basic Arrythmias.Completion of 12 Lead EKG courseAbility to perform effectively in fast-paced, stressful environment.Requires critical thinking skill and decisive judgment.Required Licenses / Certifications :
Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).Holds current BLS card from the American Heart Association. Holds current ACLS card within six (6) months of employment.Current Florida Nursing LicensePreferred Certifications : RCIS - (Reg. Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), CCRN, IABP CertificationCommunication Skills :
Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization.Must be able to pass Background and Drug Test screenings.
