Overview
UVA Health is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) specializing in Vascular Medicine to join our team. The Vascular Medicine team is expanding, adding both physicians and APP positions to the ambulatory team. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside leading vascular medicine specialists in a dynamic care team, providing comprehensive care to patients with vascular conditions such as varicose veins, lymphedema, leg swelling, CVD, venous insufficiency, TOS, PAD, HTN, HLD, DVT / VTE. Other more complex vascular conditions including malformations, aortitis / arteritis, renal aneurysms / dissections, Raynaud\'s with wounds, HHT, HAAP, the branch of the decision tree with mesenteric disease, MALS, celiac artery aneurysms, SCAD, FMD, KTW, Birt-Hogg Dube, aortic dissections may be co-managed with the physician and APP.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced level healthcare professionals who diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of health conditions and diseases. They play a central role in the healthcare system, working to improve patient health through direct patient care, medical intervention, and health education.
These roles are responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients admitted to the hospital. They manage acute medical conditions, coordinate treatment plans, and work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure continuous, high-quality care in an inpatient setting.
Minimum Requirements
Education : Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program with a master\'s degree.
Experience : Department and unit specific.
Licensure : License or license eligible as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and Certified Nurse Midwife) as set forth by the state of Virginia. If Nurse Practitioner, license to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required. Must demonstrate and maintain all credentialing and licensing requirements of UVA Health System, the Virginia Board of Medicine or the Virginia Board of Nursing, and appropriate certifying bodies. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Current PALS / NRP, as required, specific to position. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as required, specific to position.
Physical Demands
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending / stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion : computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift / push / pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to noise, radiation, radioactive materials, blood / body fluids and infectious disease.
Position Compensation Range : $96,907.20 - $155,043.20 Annual
