Job Description
Our client is seeking a Recruiter to support high-volume hiring needs in a fast-paced transportation environment. This individual will play a key role in attracting, interviewing, and coordinating candidates to ensure adequate staffing across multiple locations and shifts.
The ideal candidate is organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing a large pipeline while balancing changing business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume recruiting pipeline to support ongoing staffing demands
- Conduct approximately 20–25 candidate interviews each week, averaging 4–5 interviews per day
- Maintain a strong interview-to-hire ratio and move qualified candidates efficiently through the process
- Evaluate short- and long-term hiring needs based on operational demands, seasonality, and staffing gaps
- Coordinate closely with hiring managers and operations teams to prioritize urgent openings and changing workforce needs
- Track applicant activity, candidate status, and hiring metrics within recruiting systems and spreadsheets
- Monitor trends related to attendance, turnover, and staffing shortages and communicate findings to leadership
- Partner with onboarding teams to ensure new hires are prepared and fully cleared to begin work
- Maintain accurate employee and candidate records while ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information
- Communicate professionally with candidates, managers, and internal stakeholders regarding schedules, interviews, and next steps
- Ensure all hiring and recruiting activities remain compliant with company guidelines and applicable regulations
- Assist with additional recruiting and staffing-related projects as needed
Qualifications
Experience:
- Previous experience in high-volume recruiting required
- Must have full candidate onboarding experience
- Experience supporting fast-paced environments such as transportation, logistics, operations, or staffing is preferred
Technical Skills:
- Experience using Indeed Smart Sourcing or similar recruiting platforms
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to track recruiting metrics
Soft Skills:
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to manage responsibilities independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and follow-through skills
- Goal-oriented with a sense of urgency and accountability
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
