Position Summary :

Nestled at the confluence of the Rock and Crawfish rivers, our factory has been a cornerstone since 1910. As one of the largest manufacturers in the region, we ship countless truckloads and railcars of beloved brands like Fancy Feast®, Friskies®, and Pro Plan®. Beyond our mass production, our Jefferson factory proudly donates 1.2 million cans of food annually, supporting over 40 animal shelters and organizations. Our factory is also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As Facility Quality Specialist you will monitor and assist with improving systems that help assure regulatory compliance and adherence to Nestlé standards in the areas of fill weights, formulation, document control systems and internal audits as well as maintain other quality systems.

Primary Responsibilities :

Formulation Champion - Ensure that current official formulas are in place on the production floor, keep the production formula databases up to date.

On a temporary basis, cover assigned Food Safety Team Leader tasks (food safety inspections / audits, ordering supplies, etc).

Prepare for and manage factory internal audits. Manage planning and scheduling for local internal audit. Act as an auditor for sister factories as assigned.

Ensure that quality documents are kept up to date. Oversee the document change control program.

Data management and reporting for Quality Data Collection System (QIR).

Participate in TPM (Total Performance Management) activities, cost saving initiatives, and projects.

Requirements :

High School Diploma or Associates Degree (preferred)

2+ years of experience in quality, food manufacturing, lab or related environment.

The approximate pay range for this position is $58,000 - $95,000 per year. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
