Overview
Communication Studies Adjunct Faculty — part-time position at Olympic College. Salary : $5,000-6,000 per 5-credit class. Reports to : Dean of Social Sciences & Humanities. The College seeks faculty dedicated to student-centered learning and advancing an equitable and inclusive educational environment. Olympic College enrolls approximately 10,500 students annually with a racially and socioeconomically diverse student body. The college offers Basic Studies, academic transfer and workforce education, and several applied baccalaureate degrees, along with community education.
The position is part-time, teaching primarily Public Speaking and other CMST courses. Evening and weekend classes, instruction at satellite campuses, and travel to clinical sites may be required.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality teaching, including preparation, grading, and record keeping
- Provide class syllabi to students by the first day of classes and to the division office as requested
- Identify individual learning needs of students and adjust learning environments and activities accordingly
- Punctually communicate with students, faculty, staff and administrators
- Perform other related duties as assigned and / or required
