ABOUT THE ROLE

Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Equipment Operator to support operations at our Kirby Road location in Clinton, MD. This position will be responsible for operating and configuring multiple equipment. Also ensure that the machine works at its full capacity, oversee its maintenance, and perform timely quality checks.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Operate excavators to dig trenches, foundations, and other large-scale earthmoving tasks safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload materials such as soil, rocks, and debris using the excavator bucket.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the excavator to ensure optimal functioning.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other crew members to coordinate excavation activities.
• Follow site plans, blueprints, and safety guidelines to complete excavation work according to project specifications.
• Monitor excavation sites for hazards and report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Assist in backfilling and grading areas after excavation to prepare for construction or landscaping.
• Keep accurate logs of work performed, including hours operated and maintenance activities.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
