Description
The Assistant Coordinator, Basic Law Enforcement Training ( BLET ) will support and assist the Coordinator of the Basic Law Enforcement Training (Pre-Service) program for public safety professionals. The Assistant Coordinator shall assist in the planning, developing, coordinating, and delivering of Commission-mandated courses within the Basic Law Enforcement Training program parameters. The Assistant Coordinator, BLET reports to the Coordinator, Basic Law Enforcement Training ( BLET ) and the Program Director, Law Enforcement In-Service & Pre-Service Training, with oversight from the Dean of Human Services, Public Safety, Health and Physical Education.

Physical Demands
1. Physical Requirements

b. Stand extended periods of time (up to 4 hours)
c. Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
d. Stoop, bend, squat, lift, reach overhead
e. Use and manipulate law enforcement equipment according to industry standards

1. Criminal history checks and drug screening with acceptable results are required.
2. Must work at some off campus and community locations.
3. Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
