Transportation Planning Engineer

Description

MSG is growing our Transportation Planning Team and is seeking a transportation engineer or planner to work as an integral part of our team with the development and delivery of projects for public and private sector clients. This person will be part of our collaborative transportation planning team of traffic engineers and planners working across Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Work location can be in any MSG office in MI or OH with opportunity for hybrid work.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct traffic and transportation planning studies : data collection, modeling, and forecasting to identify needs and opportunities.
• Develop and run transportation models  for corridors, intersections, and multimodal systems.
• Prepare feasibility studies, safety studies,  technical reports, GIS mapping, and presentations for public agencies and stakeholder groups.
• Identify grants and developing funding strategies based on client needs
• Assist with identification of grant opportunities to address community needs and prepare proposals for funding planning initiatives.
• Develop graphics for project concepts.
• Prepare reports and supporting documentation.
