The Clinical Nurse III in the Cath Lab is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role involves implementing physician orders, administering medications, collaborating with the nursing team, and ensuring high standards of patient care management in a high-tech lab environment. Candidates must have a valid NYS RN license and experience in telemetry or ICU settings, along with certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Cath and EP Lab is equipped with high tech ultrasound and state-of-the-art Imaging and Anesthesia equipment where complex structural heart cases are performed. The labs also perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for the adult and pediatric patients under the supervision of our Medical Director. The staff consists of a blend of personnel including RPN, Medical Imaging Technicians, Certified Vascular Technicians, and Patient Care Associates.

Hourly Range : $36.73 - $60.93

Pre / Post nurses require or will develop the following skill sets :

Implement physician orders, administer medications, starts IVs, perform treatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local / state / federal rules and regulations.

Pre / Post nurses will also order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions, assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered. They will apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions, collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients, and direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.

General Responsibilities :

• Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local / state / federal rules and regulations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
• Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
• Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
• Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administers over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
• Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
• Directs and guides ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
