Wafer Process Engineer

Overview

Wafer Process Engineer role at Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) in Goleta, CA. The position is onsite and involves working in a cleanroom environment to support focal plane array manufacturing processes in production and development products. The department provides semiconductor and focal plane array manufacturing processes and seeks a Principal Process Wafer Engineer with a background in semiconductor fabrication including photolithography processing, annealing, thin film deposition, and metrology.

What You Will Do

• Managing process development and improvement projects, including novel processing techniques, yield increase, throughput, and safety improvements
• Reviewing material in WIP, certifying operators, dispositioning out of flow material, and hands-on processing of novel detector designs
• Providing Process Ownership of vacuum coating tools, etch tools, or lithography tools
• Developing requirements and qualification plans for new equipment procurements
• Work in a cleanroom environment with full coverall garments
• Expert experience with wet etch, metal-lift off, lithography, plasma cleaning, and associated semiconductor process equipment
• Maintain statistical process controls for process optimization; troubleshoot and resolve issues supporting the manufacturing process and improve work center process yields
• Research new suppliers and technologies for improving production, quality, end cost and throughput
