Responsibilities Work in a cardiovascular invasive unit within a hospital setting Patient population includes those requiring cardiovascular procedures and interventions Shift consists of four 10-hour day shifts per week EPIC EMR is used and prior experience is required Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, developing individualized patient care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Expected to utilize evidence-based practices and perform patient assessments, evaluations, and documentation Role involves performing patient bedside lab testing and assisting with lab specimen collection Scrub attire required in care areas as appropriate RTO (Requested Time Off) should not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract No local candidates accepted; must live at least 50 miles from facility Contingent workers may not remain on assignment longer than one year without a 6-month break Requirements Current Illinois RN license in good standing; temp license accepted, license required if applicable BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required ASN required, BSN preferred Minimum three years of applicable experience preferred; minimum one year relevant nursing experience required Level 1 trauma experience required Proficiency with EPIC EMR is required Strong critical thinking, communication, and multicultural sensitivity skills Basic computer literacy including word processing and spreadsheets Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625669.
