Key Responsibilities
- Assist Contracting Officers in preparing solicitations, task orders, and contract documentation.
- Conduct market research and cost / price analysis to support purchasing decisions.
- Help develop and review statements of work (SOWs).
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
- Organize and maintain procurement records in SharePoint and ERP systems.
- Draft correspondence and reports related to procurement activities.
- Support administrative processes including scheduling, reporting, and document tracking.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred — ideally in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Finance, or a related field.Without a degree : 3+ years of relevant procurement or contract administration experience required.24 semester hours in any combination of business-related courses (accounting, contracts, law, purchasing, economics, etc.) required.Minimum 2–3 years in procurement, contracts, or purchasing support, ideally in construction or engineering environments.Experience drafting or reviewing solicitations, SOWs, or contract documents.Familiarity with federal or public-sector procurement (FAR) preferred, but not required.Strong attention to detail, organizational, and editing skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint; ERP experience (SAP, Oracle) a plus.Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or public-sector contracting processes.Experience supporting engineering, utilities, or capital construction projects.Demonstrated writing and proofreading ability.Collaborative and process-oriented mindset.Seniority Level
