The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern to join our Renewables team, supporting the design and development of utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in engineering design while working under the close guidance of experienced professionals. Interns receive detailed instruction, clear expectations, and the chance to contribute to real-world projects that support the energy transition.

What You'll Do

• Assist in the design and preparation of development and construction plans for large-scale wind, solar, and BESS renewable energy projects
• Work collaboratively with engineers and technicians across disciplines on multiple active projects
• Learn and apply AutoCAD Civil 3D for site design and plan production
• Support the preparation of design deliverables, including plans, reports, and permit documentation
• Participate in the development of permitting applications for local, state, and federal review
• Gain exposure to regulatory frameworks and standards relevant to civil design in the renewable energy sector
• Perform engineering calculations, develop standard details, and assist in the preparation of technical drawings
• May assist in field visits to support data collection or site assessments, depending on project needs

Additional Opportunity Details :

Target Base Compensation for this role is $26 / hr.

This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to be posted for an average of 60 days until a qualified applicant is selected or the position has been cancelled.
