Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,110 per week in Jefferson City, MO

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Progressive Care Unit Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum of 2 years overall experience and 1 year in specialty License : Must have a valid Missouri or Compact license Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have : ACLS certification BLS certification NIHSS certification 2 years of charge experience Experience with Cerner charting system preferred Description : This position requires a Registered Nurse with specialty in Progressive Care Unit. The nurse will be responsible for managing patient care for adults and geriatrics. Required skills include accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and central line care. Nurses will need to interpret arterial blood gases and manage various cardiac and vasoactive drips. Experience in telemetry and non-invasive airway management is also necessary. The nurse will be required to float to other units as needed. Patients will have a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5 : 1 on day shifts. Floating to medical-surgical units may occur as part of the role. The nurse may participate in procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Wound care and management of feeding tubes are additional responsibilities.
