WTR Search - Renewables is searching for Traveling Wind Technicians certified on GE platforms to perform tasks such as troubleshooting, assembly, and service / repairs to wind turbine generators and related equipment and facilities. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with 100% travel.
Core Responsibilities :
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, design modifications / retrofits, and special projects, while following procedures and maintaining certifications in all areas required.
- Conduct LOTO on GE turbines.
- Troubleshooting on GE turbines
- Follow verbal and written instructions to perform assembly, repair, and maintenance on wind turbines and associated equipment.
- Complete and maintain required company and client documentation and records.
- Operate a vehicle safely and legally per company policies.
- Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work area including sweeping, mopping, and wiping oil, grease, and solvent spills.
- Experience with a suspended platform is a plus.
- Flexibility to perform tasks as needed depending on the scope of the project.
- Complete service reporting, work order documents, and records neatly, legibly, and correctly.
- Ability to read schematics.
